The sol-gel synthesized hybrid organico-inorganic nanocomposite of silica – polypropylene possessing electrorheological activity. The material was characterized by IR spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction, electron microscopy and thermal analysis. Studied the characteristics and shear stresses in tension and compression organico dispersions of powders in the hybrid inorganic-containing polydimethylsiloxane dispersed phase 10 and 15% when varying the electric field intensity and the various parameters of the system loading. The considerable anisotropy of the physical and mechanical properties of electrorheological fluid upon application of electric fields.
