We simulate numerically the behavior of a cartridge of solid fuel fastened to a shell in the case of high-speed impact. The shell’s material is orthotropic organic plastic. We study the influence of orientation of elastic and strength properties of the shell’s material on the stress-strain state of the solid fuel. The study is carried out within the frames of phenomenological approach of the mechanics of continuum. The simulation is provided for the three-dimensional case using the finite element method.
