Simulation of dynamic fracture of orthotropic plate for an arbitrary orientation of symmetry axes material

Abstract:

Numerically simulated the interaction of single and dual-layer plates with compact drummer of isotropic steel. Material plates – orthotropic organoplastic. Thanks to the implemented program recalculated the elastic constants tensor and tensor strength simulated the behavior of structures containing multiple elements made of anisotropic material with different orientations of the axes of symmetry with respect to the calculation of the coordinate system. The behavior described by orthotropic elastic-fragile environment using the criterion of the strength of the second order, Wu proposed that allows to take into account the different characteristics organoplastic strength in tension and compression. For different impact velocities investigated the influence of the orientation of the material properties on the destruction of plates and kinematic parameters of the hammer.
