In the present work, a three-phase method is proposed to define the effective properties of composite materials reinforced with whiskered fibers. The proposed model takes into account the presence of whiskered interphase layer formed between fibers and matrix. Comparison study on the effective properties of such composites between our results and the results obtained with different methods proposed by different authors is conducted. It is shown that the use of three-phase method will allow us to accurately estimate the effective properties of such composites, and is a fairly general technique to compute the effective characteristics of composites with whiskered and multi-coated fibers
