On allowing slip in plane-parallel flows of polymeric liquids

Abstract:

This article examines the flow of nonlinear viscoelastic fluid with tensor internal parameter between parallel planes under a constant pressure gradient, taking into account the phenomenon of slip on the boundary. Found numerically depending on the components of the stress tensor and the components of the longitudinal velocity of the pressure gradient and the distance to the wall, which enabled us to explain the emergence of non-parabolic profile of the longitudinal velocity of the polymer melt.
