Modeling hysteresis of the anti-galloping damper for conductors of overhead transmission lines

Abstract:

Dynamic characteristics of the anti-galloping dampers for suppressing low-frequency vibrations in the range of 0.2-0.6 Hz are studied. To determine the geometric, mass and elastic parameters of a damper in conditions of non-stationary vibrations, a mathematical model of energy dissipation hysteresis is developed. A kinematical model using experimental data of hysteresis is suggested. According the approach the torque and the rotation angle are related by a special differential equation of the first order with coefficients, which are defined after experimental data of the limit hysteretic cycle
