We study effective methods of experimental investigation of general characteristics governing the behavior of elementary mono-fibers of dimensions 10 microns under the conditions of high-speed tension with the rate of deformations up to 103 s-1. One variant of an experimental installation is described. A procedure of impact loading of solitary mono-fibers is presented. Graphical matter illustrates results of investigation of a set of fibers of the Rusar type under the rate of deformation 258 s-1.
