Mechanical properties of plane matrix structures filled with disks of uniform diameter to various filler contents with various particle relative placements are discussed. Constancy of the effective elastic modulus on transition from regular to random particle placements is established. The dependence of the effective moduli of plane composites structures on filler content is determined. Empirical formulas derived on the basis of these data are recommended for practical use.
