Experimental and theoretical study rheological properties of the electron fluid. Dependence electrorheological effect on the volume fraction filling

Abstract:

Discussed determining rheological relations describing the behavior of a promising new class of “smart” materials with controlled properties – electrorheological fluids (ERZH). Analysis based on the original construction of a many-dimensional model ordered. The theoretical ratio dependence of the real part of the complex modulus of the magnitude of the electric field with the experimental data. A good quantitative agreement between theoretical predictions and experimental results. The dependence of the rheological effect on the value of the volume fraction of the filling. A comparison of theoretical relations with the experiment. It is shown that the qualitative agreement between theory and experiment is observed for small values ​​of volume fraction content (up to ~ 0.23).
