An analytical model for determining the bearing capacity of sandwich panels for space application in the amplification zone (support unit) for transmitting the concentrated load directed along the normal to the panel. In the case of a settlement is considered axisymmetric bending of circular plate, hinged on the contour and loaded in the center concentrated load. Carrier layers sandwich constructions are considered as a membrane of a tensile compression only and for describing the behavior of filler used Timoshenko hypothesis. We derive defining relations of the stress-strain state of a three-layer structure in the area support unit, and the method of determining the critical load, taking into account the basic parameters of embodiment of the supporting unit diameter strengthen honeycomb core, the stiffness characteristics of the bearing layers and filler. Along with the theoretical predictions, the work contains experimental data confirming the efficiency of the proposed analytical model.
