Design of laminated composite rings


We determine stresses and bending moment of a ring when it loaded in its plane. At that, we determine a displacement and an angle of rotation as well as stresses at the ring cross section that undergo maximal stresses. We present results of tests for composite rings made from fiberglass plastic and carbon-plastic and compare these results with calculated values.
