Composite material structure modeling and polymorphic transformations in liquid crystals

Abstract:

We analyze the possibility of using the polymorphism of the mesogens in modeling the composite materials. For the analysis of the composition of the composites we propose to use molecular spectroscopy, specifically combination scattering spectroscopy. We diagnose the phase state of the composite with the aid of specialized software and describe the program algorithm. The composition and the state of the model composite can be specified in advance and realized with use of the corresponding temperature regime of cooling and heating of the specimens. The modeling is illustrated for the example of the familiar methoxybenzylidene butylaniline (MBBA) mesogen.
