Calculation of stresses and strains in composite pressure cylinders

Abstract:

We propose a rectification of finite-element analysis of stress-strain state of composite pressure vessels. The results of the rectified analysis (displacements and stresses in the layers) are in great agreement with the experimental data. The results of analysis of the contact between flange and shell are presented. Displacements and stresses in layers are obtained in accounting for geometrical imperfections.
