Applied method of natural frequencies calculation for cylindrical and conical lattice composite spacecraft structures

Abstract:

Method of calculation of the frequencies for cylindrical and conical shells is developed in application to composite lattice spacecraft structures widely used in aerospace technology. The structure is simulated with a cantilever thin-walled beam, and Ritz method is applied to determine the frequencies. As an example, a real cylindrical spacecraft lattice structure with variable along its length stiffness and mass characteristics is considered.
