We propose to apply an analytical-experimental method for the analysis of mechanical action of irradiation on composite structures. The method presumes analytic determination of spatial distribution of energy release in the load-carrying elements of aircrafts subjected to irradiation after passing the atmosphere, and estimation of corresponding parameters of non-stationary loads with the following reproduction of these loads and flight conditions on simulating facilities while experimental studies. We analyze the method of testing of thin-walled composite structures and the facilities for simulation of non-stationary loading and flight conditions. For example, we present the results of tests of the mock-up solid-propellant jet engines.
