Aeroelastic stability of rotating anisotropic blade of a helicopter rotor in hover

Abstract:

Aeroelastic vibrations of rotating anisotropic blade as a thin-walled beam with coupled deformations of bending, transverse shear and twisting are considered. Aerodynamic loads on the blade performing vibrations in helicopter hover are determined by the quasistationary theory of plane flowing of the cross sections. Influence of the blade anisotropy on the mode frequencies and critical rotation speeds of divergence and flutter is estimated.
