A formulation of the three-dimensional approximated shells theory of n-th order using generalized displacements and its application to steady dynamics

Abstract:

Motion equations and natural boundary conditions of Nth order shell theory considering three-dimensional stress-strain state in domains of irreducibility are formulated as generalized Lagrange equations of the 2nd kind using kinematic variables. A second propagating normal mode’s kinematics in plane isotropic layer is considered and the investigated using some low-order theories and the initial domain of the dispersion curve with negative group velocity is obtained using some low-order theories.
