A coupled equation of thermal conductivity for direct martensite transformation

Abstract:

We construct a simple variant of coupled equation of thermal conductivity for alloys with shape memory when they undergo straight-run thermal-elastic phase transformation. We obtain the equation by successive employing thermo-dynamical formalism. From the model proposed it follows that if a phase transformation is a result of mechanical stresses and phase deformations take place, then the decrease of the coefficient of temperature conductivity due to straight-run martensite transformation is of high intensity.
