Stability of three-layer composite shells

Abstract:

We study stress-strain states, oscillations, and stability of a three-layer axially symmetric shell. The structure is a rocket module constructed from two carrier layers with embedded parts between these layers. The circular embedded parts are spaced at some distance from each other and used for improving strength and rigidity characteristics of a structure. We study strength and rigidity characteristics of a structure under a combined external loading. We employ an effective numerical procedure for solving boundary value problems. We analyze an influence of the distance between circular supporting elements on strength and rigidity characteristics of a structure.
