Secondary effects into composite materials by influence of laser radiation

Abstract:

We analyze thermal, mechanical, and electromagnetic effects produced by laser irradiation in opaque materials under different power density and atmospheric pressure. We obtain a condition of plasma formation upon power density. Regression models are presented. On the basis of these models we determine quantitative relationships between power density of pulse laser irradiation measured on the irradiated surface and maximum values of magnetic induction of pulse magnetic field in vacuum, and between the atmospheric pressure and maximum value of induction of pulse magnetic field generated by laser plasma.
