Peculiarities of deforming and fracture of metal-ceramic materials under high-speed collision

Abstract:

An objective of the paper consists in the development of scientific foundations for production of metal-ceramic composite materials (including the materials of compound structure) by application of methods based on the SVS technologies. We discuss the opportunities of practical usage of these materials when operating under the conditions of high-speed collision. We establish technological regimes for production of composite materials of new generation having average density from 3 to 18 g/sm3 for strikers and obstacles. The results presented illustrate that samples including into the structural systems of strikers and obstacles are of higher quality as compared to conventional samples.
