Impact on nutation angle of penetration by elongated strikers in orthotropic barriers

Abstract:

The problem of interaction between the normal and oblique long steel isotropic cylindrical striker plate with orthotropic impact velocities in the range of up to 2000 m / s in the case where the velocity vector of the projectile does not coincide with the longitudinal axis. The effect of nutation angle to the destruction of the plate and on the behavior of the striker in the implementation process. The problem is solved numerically by finite element method in three-dimensional statement. The behavior of the material is described by drummer elastoplastic model, the behavior of the target material is described in terms of elastic-brittle model.
