Fractal model of elastomer reinforcement filler dispersion

Abstract:

The paper shows that the effect of enhancing the elastomer particulate filler is observed only in the range of self-similar (fractal) of the surface of the filler particles. Resulting in the most general assumptions fractal model gain is fully consistent with known experimental data. Structural basis for raising the degree of amplification is to increase the relative proportion of interfacial layers having frozen molecular mobility and higher density compared with the free rubber, increasing the fractal dimension of the surface of the filler particles.
