Effect of stiffening frames on the stability of stiffened shell of polymeric composite materials

Abstract:

The bearing capacity of structures such as reinforced membranes in many cases limited by the loss of stability and depends on the stiffness of the reinforcement elements and the connection conditions of a bearing shell layers. There is currently no comprehensive quantitative data on the impact of these factors on critical loads buckling supported shells made of laminated composite materials, so for the rational design seems appropriate to study the stability of the multi-layer stiffened shell structure by varying the spans between the frames, the stiffness parameters of the frames and the conditions for their connection to the shell . In this paper a study is conducted to the fixed dimensions of the shell loaded with a combination of variable length external pressure and compressive force, on the assumption that the shell and the supporting frames disposed between the ends are deformed together. To study the effect of the end frames of their fastening conditions (permissible turn-section of the frame relative to the median surface of the shell).
