Contact orthotropic layered cylindrical shell with edge rigid pipes

Abstract:

Questions contact interaction of a cylindrical shell with elastic cradles and stamps are studied quite well. A review of these studies is given in [1,2]. However, in most of these works were considered isotropic shell semi-infinite or infinite length and resolution in the construction of the Green function used rather cumbersome methods. In this paper we study the behavior of orthotropic layered cylindrical shell reinforced by a hollow elastic cylinder, when contact with the edge of the infinitely rigid pipe. To construct the Green’s function of the shell with arbitrary boundary conditions using single trigonometric series in the circumferential coordinate and finite Fourier transform of the longitudinal coordinate. The resulting integral equation for the contact zone of the shell and tube using Chebyshev polynomials reduced to a system of algebraic equations for the unknown coefficients of the contact load solution which allows you to find the length of the contact area and pressure in the shell
